The Malaysian Biotechnology Information Centre (MABIC) is a not-for-profit organisation in Malaysia and the first and only NGO that promotes stakeholder engagement in all areas of biotechnology with an aim to create a conducive and an enabling environment for R&D, commercialisation and industry development.We believe these are crucial for nation building and transforming Malaysia into a knowledge-based and high-income nation while embracing sustainable development. Agricultural, medical and industrial biotechnology are key areas that support food security, sustainable development, job creation and quality of life.

MABIC’s multi-prong and holistic approach combines all key areas critical for the development of biotechnology such as policies, regulations, education, R&D support, funding mechanism, access to technology and science literacy among the public and key stakeholders.
