PERBADANAN SAHAWAN NASIONAL BERHAD (PUNB) was established to increase the participation and involvement of Bumiputera in the field of entrepreneurship and to produce a dynamic, resilient, progressive and successful Bumiputera Trade and Industrial Society (MPPB). It was established on 17 July 1991 under the Companies Act 1965 and is wholly owned Yayasan Pelaburan Bumiputera (YPB).

PUNB operated as a fully syariah-compliant company in 2010. Since 2019, PUNB has been listed as a company under the Prime Minister’s Department.

PUNB is committed to being a leader in the development of Bumiputera SMEs and Bumiputera entrepreneurs in the retail, trade and distribution sectors in Malaysia and the international arena.
